About Jen

Jen Bowden is resident and has her clinic in Seaton, Cornwall. Passionate about life-long learning Jen continues to hone her skills attending and teaching post-graduate courses and training events.

​Jen recently got married to the lovely Nick and has changed her name from Cardew to Bowden. 

Qualification

  • BSc Hons Physiotherapy University of Hertfordshire 2004.
  • ​Post-graduate training in the Integrated Systems Model (ISM) 2013-present.
  • Acupuncture (foundation) with The British Medical Acupuncture Society 2018. 
  • The first U.K. practitioner to be Certified in the Integrated Systems Model (ISM) 2017.

Experience

Qualifying in 2004,  Jen completed her 'junior' and 'senior' rotations within the NHS, based at Torbay and South Devon NHS Trust and then Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust.  For the final NHS years, Jen worked as the clinical lead for women's health physiotherapy at Derriford Hospital, Plymouth. She has gained significant skills working with women both ante-natally and post-natally and worked as a senior musculoskeletal physiotherapist for many years. Jen has delivered short courses in various aspects of physiotherapy to fellow professionals and is a proud member of the ISM team of only a few such therapists world-wide. She has helped to deliver ISM courses, in: Dublin; London; Chichester and Surrey.
